Six years already since the video above was created.

My feelings and opinions towards this topic have not changed, if not gotten worse....

The first time I got introduced to K-Pop:

My siblings came to me with a video of a girl group dancing and singing in Korean.

So many colours. So many throwing of heart signs and kisses. So many members in one place.

I was so confused.

I despised what I had seen, and it showed on my face. In an attempt to forget what I had just seen and heard, I went back on the computer and played a playlist of Japanese Pop-Rock songs.

The End.

I have never heard of K-Pop again for like a decade or two.

PSY helped me to remember this traumatic event for a bit, but I quickly forgot about it again.

In 2016, um...

In 2016, it happened.

You know when you keep clicking on the recommended videos on YouTube? Most of the time, it gets to a point where yourself and the comment section would share a common thought:

“How did we end up here?”

Flashing lights, bright colours and the cute acting was enough to give me the adrenalin boost necessary to grab my mouse and flee the situation.

The mouse curser hoovered the red cross before travelling backward to the recommended list: “A Korean boy group? Let me just check quickly what that is”

*click*

Satan is so cunning. He knew a girl group ain’t working that well, so he sent a boy group my way and I fell for it.

Six years later, I still want to slap myself...But I still give thanks to God. Why?

Part 4 coming soon.
